Brief History
Aswt Industries Uganda Ltd was incorporated in 2012 as a Private limited company. The company is engaged in manufacturing of variety plastic products such as basins, cosmetic jars, jerricans, containers, bottles, cups, glasses, plate and other support products in different sizes and colours catering to the needs of food, chemicals, cosmetics, households and water industries.
The company has four main production lines, namely, the Injection line, Blow line, PET line and plastic packaging.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ASWT Industries (U) Limited is Located at, Plot 25/1625, Plot 43 Lukyo Mawokota County, Kisamula, Mpigi District on self-owned premises. It occupies an area of 35,000 square Feet. The currently occupied space is sufficient for any Future expansion of the Operations.
To meet the growing market demand, ASWT Industries (U) Limited plan to increase its production through the manufacture of more products by increasing the number of operational machines. The current acreage of land on where ASWT Industries (U) Limited is located is 30 acres.
Manufacturing Process in brief:
The main raw material viz., Plastic Granules are first pre-heated at 60 C to 80C. This process is done by Hopper Drier (fitted in the Injection Moulding Machine). In this process the moisture in the material is removed and the entire process takes about 2 hours. After this, the material is passed through the Heating chamber (Screw & Barrel) and at this stage it is heated at 200 C to 240 C and this process takes about 5 minutes. The material is converted into semi liquid in this process. After the above process, the material is passed through the mould with the help of High-Speed Injection, and at this stage it gets solidified with the help of cooling chamber. The part is then ejected out of mould. All the above processes are being carried out by the Injection Moulding Machine. After this, the secondary operation such as trimming, cutting is done by the operators manually. After trimming/cutting, the inspection of materials is being carried out and the products are packed and dispatched. With the help of Blow Moulding Machine, we manufacture containers of the capacity 1 litres to 20 litres
